  1. Usage:
  2.         stwad PWADfile [Skill] 
  3.  
  4. PWADfile is the name of the PWAD.  Be sure to include the .WAD ending.
  5.  
  6. Skill is a number 1-5 that indicates the skill level (where 1 is "I'm too 
  7.   young to die" and 5 is "NIGHTMARE").  This is an optional argument, as 
  8.   indicated by the brackets [].  If you do not include a skill, it is 
  9.   automatically set to skill level 4 - "Ultra-Violent".

  11. Be sure to separate all arguments with spaces.
  12.  
  13. I originally designed this little program because I was tired of remembering
  14. the episodes and map numbers of each PWAD in my directory.  It became 
  15. routine to search for the level in the different episodes once Doom was 
  16. started up.  This program eliminates all that by searching the PWAD and 
  17. finding the level it starts at.  It then warps you to that level and you 
  18. can start playing immediately.  
  19.  
  20. Version 1.1 is the almost the same as the previously uploaded version,
  21. except this one corrects a bug that would cause the program to halt on 
  22. some PWADs.  When I tested the first version, I only tested it on 5 or
  23. 6 PWADs, and it worked on all of them.  But lately I've downloaded more
  24. PWADs and the program didn't seem to work.  So I fixed the bug and the 
  25. rest of the PWADs should work now.

  27. I also changed the default skill level from 3 to 4 (Ultra-Violence).  
  28. This would make it more convenient for SERIOUS doom players <g>.
